When we lose someone close to us we can sometimes find it difficult to express our feelings of love, loss and commitment when we needs those words the most. It can be hard to find the exact words to pay tribute to and honour a life. It may be that we do not know what we are allowed to say, even if we do have the words to use.

As an Independent Civil Celebrant my core commitment is to work with you to find those words and provide a celebration of life that has passed - a celebration that is unique and full of meaning for those present. I believe that everyone deserves an individual funeral ceremony; tailored to reflect their life, loves and achievements and which truly reaches out to those present.

I will -

* Meet with you and any family members to find out more about the life of the loved one who has passed away;

* Listen and understand what you want to include in the funeral service;

* Write a funeral service that truly reflects your requirements;

* Agree the format and content of the ceremony with you before the service;

* Deliver the ceremony at the funeral itself.

Funeral services can include your choice of music, poems or other forms of readings - if it is your wish there can be religious and non religious elements. You can also include humour as well as sadness and all of these can be bound together to make for a memorable as well as an emotionally moving event. An individual ceremony to celebrate the life of an individual.

**About Me & My Values**
I am a retired HR Manager who has worked over the years as a regional trade union official and part time university lecturer - amongst other things! I am still active in other, unpaid roles in the community. Over my 40 years of work I have remained committed to the principle that everyone - wherever they are from and whatever life they have led - is entitled to leave this world being honoured, loved and respected. Everyone should have the Funeral, memorial or other forms of end of life celebration that they want and it is my role to assist those left behind to put these wishes into effect.
